Thailand's tropical weather varies throughout the year and differs greatly depending on the region. The northern part of Thailand has mainly dry weather from November to May with cooler breezes in the earlier months and much more hotter and humid weather in the latter months during this period. The monsoon dominates the weather from May to November with heavy rainfall occuring at frequent intervals.

The weather in the southern region of Thailand, which covers most of the islands, tends to receive more rainfall than the northern region. The western region of South Thailand has its' wet season from April to October whereas the east coast has the most rain from September to December. Most travellers and tourists visit
Thailand from November to February when the weather is coolest with less rain overall than at other times of the year.
